Nourishment Notes

This is the treat I send to my daughters’ school for birthday celebrations. It’s nut-free, vegan, gluten-free, and so easy to make. These are nostalgic, yes—but they’re also a low-sugar, high-vibe option that still feels like a party. I love that the sprouted grains make it easier to digest, and the ingredients are simple enough that the whole class can usually enjoy them.


Serves: About 14 kids or 8 adults
Cook Time: 10 minutes active


Ingredients 

Organic Vegan Marshmallows – 1 bag (vegan + gluten-free when needed)
Organic Sprouted Brown Rice Crisps – approx. ¾ of the box (plain or cacao)
Grass-Fed Butter or Coconut Oil – 3 tbsp


Method

In a large non-stick pot over medium-high heat, melt your butter. Add the marshmallows and stir constantly until they’re fully melted and sticky. Add your cereal and mix thoroughly with a non-stick spatula. Press the mixture firmly into a parchment-lined dish or serving tray. Let cool completely before slicing—or enjoy warm for a soft, gooey version!
