The Spiritual Effects of Alcohol, Marijuana, and Ayahuasca
I asked my Chief Spirit Guide to come forward to teach me about Alcohol, Marijuana and Ayahuasca. Here is our conversation:
I asked, “How does alcohol and marijuana affect me?”
He replied, ”For you, alcohol cuts off the crown chakra. With Marijuana, it pulls your energy from the upper chakras into lower chakras, mostly the root.”
My question: “So does alcohol affect most people the same?”
My Guide: “Most people can't drink alcohol without it effecting them spiritually. It affects the brain differently for various people. For some, it hits the area of the brain where there is an ability to use good judgment, and for others, it distorts their perception of time, either speeding it up or slowing it down. For other people, it makes them do the exact opposite of what they really need to do.”
I mentioned, “Energetically, alcohol is a distorted frequency. It invites decoherence and distortion into our bodies. Is that correct?”
My Guide replied, “Yes.”
I asked, “What is your perspective on marijuana?”
My Guide responded: “The use of plants that are meant to change one’s consciousness were created in order to help people with specific types of illnesses in the body get through a type of anesthetic. Over time, people have taken this and used it for circumstances that are not reflective of illness. Including the illnesses in the brain. You’ll notice that many people claim to have experiences that deepen the spiritual adventure while on these substances, however, that is not so because we cannot communicate with those who are [on these substances]. It is the illness itself, the cellular structures of the body, that consume these plant substances and allow us to continue communication. Without the presence of malformed cells, there is no buffer against it and we are no longer able to communicate well.”
I then asked, “What about ayahuasca? Is the impact similar?”
He answered, “Yes, it is the same. This was originally created for specific circumstances, and not to be done by those who are not part of the genetic line from those to whom it was given and not to be done at the recommendation of the person receiving but at the recommendation of the person who is giving - those who are sealed into purpose, those who can recognize the needs of the physical body and who are able to usher both the body and the spirit into calm, clear, cool, waters.”
I probed further, “So because people go and have an emotional experience [during an ayahuasca ceremony] it feels real to them, is it real?”
My Guide said, “As you’ll notice, it is prompting the body to move into a fanned act of illness, that is not something that we desire for those of us whom we shephard. Additionally, there are many many many instances of people being assaulted or harmed in some way and you’ll notice that instead of bringing in the Guides who are there to usher you into elevated consciousness, there are instead, vulnerabilities to lower level entities.”
My interpretation and how i'm going to use this information:
Regarding alcohol, I’ve decided to avoid drinking if I have clients in the coming days because I need to maintain access to my crown chakra. I’ve been educating myself on alcohol as a poison and feel it's irresponsible to treat my special vessel this way. I found the Glucose Goddess's insights particularly impactful.
I can tell i’m going to go through a process of reducing and re-introducing alcohol, while deeply observing myself. Perhaps maintaining a chart of my connectedness will be helpful. I think a good place to land is to save it for special occasions, but I can't get there without moving through the motions to make it a wholesome part of myself vs. a bandaid or “diet culture” approach.
Regarding Ayahuasca, it's not something I would try at this point in my life. I've seen many spiritually curious people turn to this substance in an attempt to shortcut or force spiritual experiences, which I believe, without judgment, is usually misguided. From my understanding, unless this substance finds you, you aren't supposed to find it.
If you’ve been exploring your relationship with alcohol, plant medicine, or altered states of consciousness—this is exactly the kind of work I hold space for in session. You're invited to book a 1:1.
